Ocean Ad-Ventures LTD (hereinafter “Ocean Ad-Ventures”) organizes and operates cruises on catamarans in the Caribbean and in the rest oft he world, including sailing, accommodation on board, crew services, and optional watersports-related activities like kiteboarding and wingfoiling.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings, whether Cabin Charter (individual cabin bookings) or Private Charter (exclusive charter for a closed group).
A booking becomes binding once a 30% deposit ob e total trip price has been received. Upon receipt ob e deposit, Ocean Ad-Ventures will confirm and secure the booking.
The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation ob e booking without refund ob e deposit.
Payments are accepted via bank transfer. All bank charges are borne by the customer. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing surcharge.
Ocean Ad-Ventures guarantees that confirmed trips will not be canceled due to insufficient participants or necessary yacht maintenance. In the unlikely event that the originally booked catamaran becomes unavailable, Ocean Ad-Ventures reserves the right to provide an equivalent replacement vessel.
The following cancellation fees apply to all trips:
If Ocean Ad-Ventures must cancel a trip and no alternative trip is available, all payments received will be refunded in full. No further claims may be made.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel cancellation insurance.
Cabin Charter
Guests book individual cabins and share the catamaran with other participants.
Private Charter
The entire catamaran is chartered exclusively by one group. The chartering party is responsible for ensuring that all participants comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the same booking, payment, cancellation, liability, and safety rules apply to both charter types.
Each cruise includes a qualified captain and a chef. The captain may provide kite assistance, sailing guidance, and instruction upon request. The chef prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner and maintains general cleanliness on board.
Meals and beverages consumed ashore (restaurants, beach bars, cafés) are not included. Alcohol is not provided on board ; guests may bring or purchase their own.
Dietary requests can be communicated in advance. Due to limited availability of specialty products in the Caribbean, individual meals or strict specialty diets cannot be guaranteed.
Unless otherwise agreed in advance, all guests are expected ob e autonomous riders, capable of:
If, in the captain’s or instructor’s judgment, a guest does not meet these requirements, lessons become mandatory before further independent riding.
Lessons may be arranged in advance or during the trip, subject to availability. Lesson fees may be payable in cash prior to commencement.
Rental equipment is available exclusively to autonomous riders and subject to availability. We provide kites, wings, boards, and foils. Harnesses are not included.
We strongly recommend pre-booking rental equipment. Rental booked during the trip must be paid in cash before use.
The renter is responsible for rented equipment. Any damage or loss must be settled before leaving the vessel, unless covered under Gear Safe+ (see Section 8).
Gear Safe+ is an optional protection product offered by Ocean Ad-Ventures.
It is not an insurance product and not provided by an insurer.
Coverage
If purchased, Gear Safe+ provides the following benefits during the cruise :

Gear Safe+ does not cover: Gross negligence or intentional damage, Disregard of safety instructions or crew guidance, Use in unsuitable or dangerous conditions, Loss without immediate notification, Theft without an official police report, Damage occurring outside the cruise period
Ocean Ad-Ventures reserves the right to determine whether damage falls within covered conditions.
We strongly recommend that all guests arrange adequate travel insurance covering water sports and outdoor activities, including but not limited to: Kitesurfing, Wingfoiling, Sailing, Snorkeling, Swimming, Stand-up paddling (SUP), Hiking and other shore-based activities.
Recommended coverage includes medical treatment, emergency evacuation, accident insurance, luggage insurance, and trip cancellation coverage.
Guests are solely responsible for assessing the necessity and suitability of any insurance coverage. Ocean Ad-Ventures explicitly advises adequate coverage due to the nature of the activities.
By booking a trip, guests confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to participate and can swim independently in deep water for at least 20 minutes.
The captain has full authority regarding safety and order on board. In the event of serious injury, unsafe behavior, or repeated disregard of instructions, the captain may exclude a guest from further participation without refund. Any resulting costs (accommodation, return travel) are borne by the guest.
Participation of minors is permitted only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on board.
Parents or legal guardians assume full responsibility and liability for the minor during the entire trip.
Guests are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, and any other documents required for entry into the countries visited. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the travel dates.
Guests acknowledge and agree that their passport needs to be temporarily collected by the crew for the purpose of handling immigration, customs, and port clearance procedures in the respective countries.
Ocean Ad-Ventures assumes no responsibility for denied entry due to invalid or missing travel documents.
Participation in sailing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, and related activities involves inherent risks. By booking and/or participating, guests agree to sign a separate Liability Waiver, which forms an integral part of the contractual relationship.
