The British Virgin Islands (BVI´s) comprise over 60 islands and cays, though only about 16 of them are inhabited. These islands make our Kitesurf and Wingfoil Cruise in the British Virgin islands unforgettable.

Kitesurf and Wingfoil Spot Guide BVIs

The Kitesurf and Wingfoil Spots on our cruise through the British Virgin Islands belong to the best spots in the Caribbean. Lots of little islands, cays beautiful beaches and steady trade winds!

Our Kitesurf and Wingfoil Cruise in the British Virgin Islands start from Trellis Bay near Tortola’s main airport. After boarding, we often enjoy a beautiful session before sundown at Marina Cay. Just a short sail away, we anchor and launch directly from the catamaran. There’s nothing better than riding turquoise waters within an hour of leaving the airport!

Gorda Sound is the premier wingfoiling and kite spot in the British Virgin Islands, featuring turquoise lagoons and tropical islands. The main action is around Saba Rock, a tiny island. For more space and flat conditions, we often kite and wing in front of Richard Branson’s private island.
Anegada is one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. The deserted western side boasts miles of palm-lined, white sand beaches and turquoise sea, perfect for ultra-flat riding. It’s also a great wakeboarding spot if the wind is light.

The North shore offers an outstanding right-hand wave over shallow reef for advanced riders. Inside the lagoon, there’s a stunning spot for all levels. Further upwind is Cow Wreck Bay, ideal for lunch and home to a local kite school.

Jost Van Dyke is a  beautiful island, well known for its live music. This is the place for a night out.

Sandy Spit offers fun kite and wing condition at it´s nearby sand bar with a great little anchorage. There is a nice flat area close to the anchorage but with only space for up to two kiters. The main watersports area is out past the spit in the channel where there can be some fun swells to ride.

The Yachts

The Yachts in our Fleet are not just simple Charter Boats. They´re outfitted exactly to the needs of our cruises. Despite a certain size of Yacht and Cabins, we ensure that every cabin has a private bathroom and shower, that the Yacht offers different chill-out areas for groups of people to spread out and relax, electricity is produced by solar panels and we make our own drinking water to avoid any plastic bottles on board.

Sailing BVI

BVI´s sailing conditions are mostly calm and smooth. You can either simply relax while the Yacht is sailing to the next island, or you can become part of the Crew and learn how to sail a Catamaran. Any way you will enjoy your time on board our Catamaran on a Kitesurf and Wingfoil Cruise British Virgin Island to it´s best!

Life in the BVI´s

Your holidays starts with a yacht adventure. Minutes after leaving the harbour, you’ll feel deeply relaxed. A typical Caribbean day begins with a swim in 26°C cristal clear water while breakfast is prepared.

After breakfast, we dive into our first activity. Getting the kite and wing gear ready for the first session in a beautiful lagoon.  At noon, we set sail to a new island, where you can enjoy a snack as we travel and get ready for the next kite or wingfoil session.

As the sun sets, we gather for a sundowner on deck or in one of the local bars on shore, followed by a delightful dinner on board. This is how you enjoy a day on our Kitesurf and Wingfoil Cruise in the British Virgin Islands.

Got questions? We've got answers

Tortola serves as both the starting and ending point of your trip. You’ll fly into Tortola’s EIS Airport, which is well-connected with flights from both the US and the UK. The catamaran will pick you up at Trellis Bay, just a 2-minute drive from the airport and only 10 minutes from the first kite spot. The journey ends at Sopers Hole Marina.

You’ll be picked up at Trellis Bay, just 2 minutes from Tortola’s EIS Airport. From there, we’ll sail for about 10 minutes to Marina Cay, where you can enjoy a sunset kitesurfing session. While you’re out on the water, our chef will prepare a delicious dinner on board and have a sundowner cocktail ready for you when you return.

The short answer would be – less than half of what you bring on a normal beach holiday. What you need is good sunscreen, ideally a hat and a Lycra shirt to protect you from the sun. You need a couple of Boardshorts / Bikinis, T-Shirts and FlipFlops. A windbreaker or a jumper for the evenings is a good idea. If you can, bring natural shampoo and soap, as it will all go into the ocean right away. A bottle to refill with drinking water is recommended. Please pack in soft, collapsible bags to allow easy storage. And don´t forget your passport.
