The Exumas are one of the most extraordinary wingfoiling destinations in the Caribbean. Spread across more than 365 cays and islands, this remote region combines vast turquoise lagoons, shallow sandbanks, moderate trade winds and almost unlimited space to ride.
Many of the best wingfoil locations are completely inaccessible from land and can only be reached by yacht. Travelling by catamaran allows us to launch directly into deeper water, avoiding the difficulty of carrying boards and long foil masts across shallow beaches or reefs. Each day brings a different setting from protected flat-water lagoons to unforgettable downwinders between uninhabited islands.
The itinerary is adapted daily to the wind, weather and abilities of the group, creating opportunities for progressing riders, relaxed freeriders and experienced wingfoilers. With water colours that hardly look real and no crowded launch areas, the Exumas offer a sense of freedom that is difficult to find anywhere else.
Non-wingfoiling partners and families are equally welcome. Remote beaches, snorkeling, island excursions, peaceful anchorages and life aboard the catamaran make this an unforgettable Caribbean adventure for everyone on board.

The locations below offer just a glimpse of the extraordinary wingfoil spots we can explore during our cruise through the Exumas. Many of these remote lagoons, sandbanks and uninhabited cays are inaccessible from land and can only be reached by yacht.
Each location offers a different combination of flat water, moderate trade winds, open riding space and spectacular downwind opportunities. The exact route is adapted to the daily conditions, allowing us to choose the most suitable spots while experiencing some of the most remarkable natural scenery the Exumas have to offer.
These two islands are usually the first stop of our wingfoil cruise into the Exumas. In fact, they already offer at least three world-class wingfoil spots and the first chance for a beautiful 10-mile downwinder.
Two wingfoil spots are waiting for us on these islands. One is easily accessible and located right at our anchorage. In contrast, the second requires a 20-minute upwind ride through a shallow lagoon. The scenery along the way is truly breathtaking.
The Mice is a labyrinth of small islands, lagoons, channels, and sandbars. Navigating through these waters can be tricky, so everyone is usually on deck, helping guide the yacht. In return, we’re rewarded with hundreds of untouched kite and wingfoil spots. Completely uncrowded. Most likely, we’re the only ones out there.
Staniel Cay, home to the famous Pig Beach, is a must-visit on our Exumas wingfoil cruise. Additionally, there’s a great wingfoil spot nearby at Sandy Cay. In the evening, we wind down at the authentic Sailors Bar, enjoying some rare and well-earned shore time.
The Exumas offer some of the most spectacular wingfoiling conditions we have experienced. Vast turquoise lagoons, shallow sandbanks and hundreds of small islands create an exceptional playground with almost unlimited space and very few other riders.
The water is often flat and protected, making the area suitable for progressing riders, relaxed freeriding and practising new manoeuvres. At the same time, the open passages between the islands offer outstanding opportunities for longer rides and unforgettable downwinders through crystal-clear water.
Trade winds are generally moderate, so wings between approximately 4 and 5.5 metres are commonly used, depending on rider weight, board choice and the conditions of the day. Because we travel by yacht, we can adapt the route and select the most suitable location for each session.
For wingfoilers who enjoy uncrowded water, varied conditions and exploring remote locations that cannot be reached from land, the Exumas are difficult to beat.

There is no better way to explore the Exumas than by living and wingfoiling aboard a yacht. Shortly after leaving Nassau, the pace slows down as we sail towards remote islands, turquoise lagoons and anchorages that can only be reached by boat.
A typical morning begins with a swim in crystal-clear water of around 26°C while the crew prepares breakfast. We then check the wind and conditions before heading out for the first wingfoil session—often launching directly from the catamaran into deeper water, without having to carry boards and long foil masts across a shallow beach or reef.
Around midday, we return to the yacht for a meal and sail towards the next anchorage. The journey takes us between uninhabited cays and across water that constantly changes from deep blue to brilliant turquoise. Depending on the day, there may also be time to visit the famous swimming pigs, explore a deserted beach or take a short island hike.
If conditions allow, the afternoon brings another session or an unforgettable downwinder to the next anchorage. As the sun sets, everyone gathers on deck for a sundowner before enjoying a relaxed dinner beneath the open Bahamian sky.
The catamarans used for our wingfoil cruises are selected with the needs of watersports guests in mind. Each cabin includes a private bathroom and shower, while several spacious areas on deck provide plenty of room to relax between sessions.
Solar panels supply much of the electricity on board, and fresh drinking water is produced directly on the yacht to reduce the use of plastic bottles. These are more than standard charter boats—they provide a comfortable and practical base for exploring remote wingfoil locations throughout the Exumas.
The starting point of our Exumas wingfoil cruise is the island of Nassau, Bahamas.
Since direct flights from Europe to Nassau are rare, most travelers fly to Miami and transfer from there. Once you land in Nassau, we recommend taking a taxi to the meeting point, which takes about 40 minutes.
Our team will be waiting for you in the northeast of the island, where the yacht is anchored in Fort Montague Bay. We’ll pick you up right on the beach, near Fort Montague and Maxxis Bar.
Check-in on board starts at 18:00 and includes a welcome cocktail to kick off your wingfoil adventure.
Check-in for the wingfoil cruise takes place in the evening at Fort Montague, Nassau.
The following morning, we sail toward the Exumas, with Little Normans Cay as our first destination. After 6 to 7 hours at sea, we arrive and get ready for our first wingfoil session later that afternoon.
The short answer: pack less than half of what you’d bring on a regular beach holiday. For your wingfoil cruise, all you really need is high-quality sunscreen, a hat, and a Lycra shirt for sun protection.
Add a few boardshorts or bikinis, some T-shirts, and flip-flops. In the evenings, a windbreaker or jumper is useful. If possible, bring biodegradable shampoo and soap, as everything goes straight into the ocean.
Also, a refillable water bottle is highly recommended. Most importantly, pack in soft, collapsible bags for easy storage—and don’t forget your passport.
