Learning kitesurfing during a kite cruise is a very different experience from taking lessons at a traditional beach center. While not every spot along the route is equally suited for beginner training, every cruise offers plenty of opportunities to either try kitesurfing for the first time, improve your riding level, or work on becoming more independent and confident on the water.
For more advanced riders, the variety of conditions also creates the perfect environment to progress further or learn new tricks with the support of our certified instructors.
Because lessons are integrated into the rhythm of the cruise and depend on daily conditions and logistics, they need to be pre-booked in advance. In return, you get the chance to learn and progress in some of the most beautiful and exclusive kitesurfing environments imaginable — surrounded by crystal-clear water, remote islands, and steady trade winds.
During our Cruises we would consider you a beginner Kitesurfer, if you either have never tried Kitesurfing before, if you have had a few lessons and know how to Bodydrag and fly your kite, or if you are able to Waterstart and ride for less than 50m in both directions.
If this describes your level, we recommend booking a 6 hour Beginner Lesson Package.
Advanced Beginners are able to Waterstart in both Directions and ride safely. The big thing you are still struggling with is actually staying upwind or even going upwind, especially if the conditions are not 100% ideal.
If this is your current Level, you can absolutely join a Kite Cruise with us, but you still need lessons in order to manage that small, but super important last step to become independent.
Independent Kitesurfers are able to pick the right equipment for any given day, prepare their gear, launch their Kites and enjoy the day on the water.
Of course you still benefit from our Supervision program and we keep an eye on you at all times, but you normally do not need our help to get back to the Yacht after your session.
If that is your level, but you still like to have an Instructor with you for some time, you can book a 2 hour Refresher Course or a Private lesson to learn a new move.
