In short: bring less than you would for a normal beach holiday. Life onboard is simple and relaxed. You’ll want good sunscreen, a hat, and maybe a lightweight long-sleeve shirt to protect yourself from the sun. A few swimwear pieces, casual clothes like T-shirts, and flip-flops are plenty. Pack a windbreaker or jumper for breezy evenings. If you can, choose biodegradable shampoo and soap, since it all flows directly into the ocean. A refillable water bottle is a smart idea. Soft, foldable luggage is best for yacht storage—and of course, don’t forget your passport!
