Wingfoil Cruise Antigua and Barbuda

Antigua and Barbuda is definitely one of our personal highlights when it comes to a Wingfoil Cruise destination in the Caribbean. What makes this Wingfoil Cruise special to us is the combination of really good Wingfoil spots, reliable wind statistics, and very short sailing times from one spot to the next. So especially for wingfoilers who like to maximize their time on the water during a Wingfoil Cruise, a charter around Antigua is a fantastic option.

Especially as a Wingfoiler you have the additional option for mile long downwinders from one spot to the next!

A true paradise for a Caribbean Wingfoil Cruise!

Wingfoiling Spot Guide Antigua & Barbuda

Here is a short overview of the Itinerary,  Wingfoil Spots and Anchorages you´ll be discovering during our Wingfoil Cruise on Antigua and Barbuda. Our Crew will always be flexible and able to adapt each Itineary according to the actual wind and weather conditions and as well of course to the needs and expectations of our guest.

Nestled on Antigua’s sheltered west coast, Jolly Harbour is the ideal starting point for our Cruises and Trips. With its well-equipped marina, easy access from the airport, and a relaxed, friendly vibe, it offers everything you need to get ready for your adventure at sea. From provisioning stores, restaurants, and cafés to customs and immigration services—it’s all conveniently located within walking distance.

Cades Reef is our first stop of the Cruise and just one hour sail away from Jolly Harbour. Cades is a horseshoe shaped reef, on which inside you´ll have a nice anchorage, a perfect snorkel spot on the outside of the reef, as well as spectacular Kitesurf and Wingfoil Conditions.

English Harbour is one of Antigua’s most iconic and historically rich anchorages. Located on the island’s southern coast, it’s home to Nelson’s Dockyard, a beautifully restored 18th-century naval base and UNESCO World Heritage site. Today, it blends British colonial charm with a lively yachting scene, boutique restaurants, and quaint cafes, making it a must-visit stop for any sailor exploring the Caribbean.

Just above the harbour, perched on a hillside, lies Shirley Heights—famous for offering the most breathtaking panoramic views over English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour. The viewpoint is legendary for its Sunday sunset parties, where live steel bands, barbecue smoke, and a warm Caribbean breeze create the perfect island vibe.

Only a short sail from Antigua’s renowned English Harbour, Green Island welcomes you with crystal-clear waters and a tranquil lagoon. We will be anchored right behind the Reef in perfectly calm waters. The Reef offers a great snorkelling opportunity while Green Island itself has beautiful beaches and a stunning sundowner location. On one of the beaches there is a little Caribbean Beach Bar, providing cold drinks as well as local dishes.

From Green Island we set sail towards the huge Lagoon situated in the North of Antigua. Within this vast stretch of perfectly flat water inside the lagoon, there a several islands and anchorages. We will be anchored close to the famous “Hells Gate” Island. The entire area provides lots of opportunities to explore and enjoy the outstanding scenery.

From Hells Gate we set sail for a 3-4 hour crossing to Barbuda. A great time to catch some fresh fish, or to chill on the Trampolin of the Catamaran and watch the Ocean fly by underneath.

Spanish Point on the southern tip of Barbuda is always a highlight of the Cruise. The anchorage inside the Lagoon is a perfect place also for none Kitesurfers or Wingfoilers to have a first Taster Lesson or to try Foiling behind the boat.

Our next stop on Barbuda takes us to Palmetto Point, located at the island’s northernmost tip. Enjoy peaceful, crystal-clear waters and maybe the most perfect white sandy beach you´ve ever seen. You could walk for hours, stop on some local beach bars situated right on the water front and end the day with a Lobster BBQ on the Beach.

Tucked away in the protected waters of Antigua’s northeast coast, the bay surrounding Maiden Island is a true Caribbean treasure. Sheltered by surrounding reefs and dotted with tiny uninhabited islets, this calm and shallow bay offers stunning turquoise water and a peaceful, untouched vibe.

Maiden Island Bay is one of those secret spots that make Antigua feel like your own private island escape.
