The Exumas are one of the most extraordinary wingfoiling destinations in the Caribbean. Spread across more than 365 cays and islands, this remote region combines vast turquoise lagoons, shallow sandbanks, moderate trade winds and almost unlimited space to ride.
Many of the best wingfoil locations are completely inaccessible from land and can only be reached by yacht. Travelling by catamaran allows us to launch directly into deeper water, avoiding the difficulty of carrying boards and long foil masts across shallow beaches or reefs. Each day brings a different setting—from protected flat-water lagoons to unforgettable downwinders between uninhabited islands.
The itinerary is adapted daily to the wind, weather and abilities of the group, creating opportunities for progressing riders, relaxed freeriders and experienced wingfoilers. With water colours that hardly look real and no crowded launch areas, the Exumas offer a sense of freedom that is difficult to find anywhere else.
Non-wingfoiling partners and families are equally welcome. Remote beaches, snorkeling, island excursions, peaceful anchorages and life aboard the catamaran make this an unforgettable Caribbean adventure for everyone on board.

The locations below offer just a glimpse of the extraordinary wingfoil spots we can explore during our cruise through the Exumas. Many of these remote lagoons, sandbanks and uninhabited cays are inaccessible from land and can only be reached by yacht.
Each location offers a different combination of flat water, moderate trade winds, open riding space and spectacular downwind opportunities. The exact route is adapted to the daily conditions, allowing us to choose the most suitable spots while experiencing some of the most remarkable natural scenery the Exumas have to offer.

Zwei Wingfoil-Spots warten auf uns auf diesen Inseln. Einer ist leicht erreichbar und befindet sich direkt an unserem Ankerplatz. Der zweite erfordert eine 20-minütige Fahrt gegen den Wind durch eine flache Lagune. Die Landschaft auf dem Weg dorthin ist wirklich atemberaubend.
The Mice ist ein Labyrinth aus kleinen Inseln, Lagunen, Kanälen und Sandbänken. Die Navigation durch diese Gewässer kann schwierig sein, daher sind normalerweise alle an Deck, um das Boot zu steuern. Als Belohnung erwarten uns Hunderte unberührte Kite- und Wingfoil-Spots. Völlig unüberfüllt. Höchstwahrscheinlich sind wir die einzigen dort draußen.

The Exumas offer some of the most spectacular wingfoiling conditions we have experienced. Vast turquoise lagoons, shallow sandbanks and hundreds of small islands create an exceptional playground with almost unlimited space and very few other riders.
The water is often flat and protected, making the area suitable for progressing riders, relaxed freeriding and practising new manoeuvres. At the same time, the open passages between the islands offer outstanding opportunities for longer rides and unforgettable downwinders through crystal-clear water.
Trade winds are generally moderate, so wings between approximately 4 and 5.5 metres are commonly used, depending on rider weight, board choice and the conditions of the day. Because we travel by yacht, we can adapt the route and select the most suitable location for each session.
For wingfoilers who enjoy uncrowded water, varied conditions and exploring remote locations that cannot be reached from land, the Exumas are difficult to beat.
There is no better way to explore the Exumas than by living and wingfoiling aboard a yacht. Shortly after leaving Nassau, the pace slows down as we sail towards remote islands, turquoise lagoons and anchorages that can only be reached by boat.
A typical morning begins with a swim in crystal-clear water of around 26°C while the crew prepares breakfast. We then check the wind and conditions before heading out for the first wingfoil session—often launching directly from the catamaran into deeper water, without having to carry boards and long foil masts across a shallow beach or reef.
Around midday, we return to the yacht for a meal and sail towards the next anchorage. The journey takes us between uninhabited cays and across water that constantly changes from deep blue to brilliant turquoise. Depending on the day, there may also be time to visit the famous swimming pigs, explore a deserted beach or take a short island hike.
If conditions allow, the afternoon brings another session or an unforgettable downwinder to the next anchorage. As the sun sets, everyone gathers on deck for a sundowner before enjoying a relaxed dinner beneath the open Bahamian sky.
Die Yachten, die für unsere Wingfoil-Cruise verwendet werden, sind speziell für diesen Zweck gebaut. Zudem bieten die Yachten mehrere Chill-out-Bereiche, in denen ihr entspannen und die Aussicht genießen könnt. Der Strom wird durch Solarpanels erzeugt und wir produzieren unser eigenes Trinkwasser, um Plastikmüll zu vermeiden. Sie sind nicht einfach gewöhnliche Charterboote – sie sind komplett auf die Bedürfnisse von Wingfoiler*innen ausgelegt.
Der Ausgangspunkt unserer Exumas Wingfoil-Cruise ist die Insel Nassau, Bahamas.
Da Direktflüge aus Europa nach Nassau selten sind, fliegen die meisten Reisenden nach Miami und nehmen von dort einen Anschlussflug. Sobald du in Nassau landest, empfehlen wir, ein Taxi zum Treffpunkt zu nehmen, was etwa 40 Minuten dauert.
Unser Team wird im Nordosten der Insel auf dich warten, wo die Yacht in der Fort Montague Bay vor Anker liegt. Wir holen dich direkt am Strand ab, in der Nähe von Fort Montague und Maxxis Bar.
Der Check-in an Bord beginnt um 18:00 Uhr und umfasst einen Willkommens-Cocktail, um dein Wingfoil-Abenteuer zu starten.

Am nächsten Morgen segeln wir in Richtung Exumas, mit Little Normans Cay als unserem ersten Ziel. Nach 6 bis 7 Stunden auf See kommen wir an und bereiten uns später am Nachmittag auf unsere erste Wingfoil-Session vor.
Kurz: Pack weniger als die Hälfte von dem, was du für einen normalen Strandurlaub mitnehmen würdest. Für deine Wingfoil-Cruise brauchst du eigentlich nur hochwertigen Sonnenschutz, einen Hut und ein Lycra-Shirt zum Sonnenschutz.
Ein paar Boardshorts oder Bikinis, einige T-Shirts und Flip-Flops reichen. Abends ist eine Windjacke oder ein Pullover nützlich. Wenn möglich, bring biologisch abbaubares Shampoo und Seife mit, da alles direkt in den Ozean gelangt.
Außerdem ist es ratsam eine wiederbefüllbare Wasserflasche mitzubringen. Als Gepäck nimm eine weiche, faltbare Taschen, damit wir sie gut auf dem Boot verstauen können – und vergiss nicht deinen Reisepass.
